Although I have some programmes that colleges regularly ask for, they are nearly always modified to meet local need. Most of my work is designed in conjunction with the college to respond to identified development needs. My method of delivery always involves opportunities for active involvement by the participants. This is for two main reasons. Firstly because I believe active engagement is a more effective way of learning and secondly because my own approach relies heavily on being responsive to where participants are at - if they are not actively participating it is difficult to be responsive. The manner in which I work is varied. It includes: informal learning sets scheduled throughout the year mentoring individual staff delivery to large numbers of staff at the same time, usually to introduce something new or to address a particular issue working with specified teams middle management and senior management leadership programmes training courses on a variety of issues shadowing and being shadowed consultancy around a key issue/issues I carry out all the work for ajm consulting.
