 Effective teams are one of the keys to an effective, functioning college. I have developed a set of materials to help team leaders and team members appreciate the value of effective teams and to have the skills to develop and maintain them. My approach includes a strong focus on how attention to process affects the quality of outcomes. Teams are enabled to anticipate and accommodate change.

Particular sessions can be provided to explore strategies for problem solving and how best to harness creativity and encourage innovation.

The approach is relevant to a wide range of teams from senior management to small curriculum teams.

An adaptation of this approach is also relevant to the development of action learning sets where staff gather informally on a regular basis to address issues within the organization.

The sessions can operate as short stand alone courses or can be part of a wider programme on leadership development and culture change.

I also have considerable experience in helping dysfunctional teams to overcome their difficulties and learn to operate effectively.
